Reflection Journal

Each group member is required to reflect on their participation in the project in the following areas:
i) What is my individual contribution to the group project?
ii) What are the soft skills that I’ve learned from the group project?

i) I think i contributed by figuring out the changes from the project kit and pinetree. I designed the logo, keyed in data and helped to figure out things that weren't given to us directly. I also helped nick when he was entering the data. I helped to figure out the steps in AccPac using the tutorial manual and resources notes.

ii) I learnt through proper communication, information could be passed down properly. Sometimes, when i say something, nicholas might record something wrong. Thus, proper communication would speed things up and make it more accurate. I also learnt that motivation is very important. What drives a person to go on is the will to succeed. At desperate times, one simple phrase like "Come on guys, lets get it done now so we have lesser work tomorrow!" can bring an injured soldier back on his feet. Without a sense of urgency, desire loses its value. The greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.

Day 9

The moment of truth is here. Either we fail and re-take or we pass with flying colours. Took 4 hours to re-do and did data entry. Then we printed the report and realised that one journal wasn't even posted. Wonder who left it out, but it was everyone's fault for being careless. we re-posted it and finally, Everything was good to go. Re-printed in 40 mins. Woh! Thats fast. 250 pages. So thick. Finally, CAS project is over.

Day 8

We posted everything but. we got a profit instead of a loss. I think we are quite screwed up. Tomorrow we shall re-do, hopefully a miracle will happen. God bless.

Day 7

We are half way through our recurring entries. Quite confusing and complex. Shall complete it tomorrow.

Day 6

We finished GL today, swee.
tmr we are going to finish recurring entries and also the void cheque.

day 5

today we finished our AP systems. we are left with GL accounts and hopefully end on time.

Day 4

We know we are heading somewhere, but the road ahead is foggy.
